Romológia publikációs díj

Prof. Dr. Óhidy Andrea egyetemi tanár, kutató kezdeményezésére a Magyar Nevelés- és Oktatáskutatók Egyesülete (Hungarian Educational Research Association, HERA, Romológia Szakosztály közreműködésével), évente odaítélendő díjat alapított 2026-ban a Pécsi Tudományegyetem Romológia és Nevelésszociológia Tanszékének, valamint a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Pedagógiai Tudományos Bizottsága Nevelésszociológiai Albizottságának támogatásával a romológia témaköréhez kapcsolódó nevelés- és oktatáskutatási publikációk elismerésére. A díj elnevezése: Romológia Publikációs Díj.

A díj célja a romológiai fókuszú nevelés- és oktatáskutatások tudományos láthatóságának erősítése, valamint az e területen megjelenő publikációk szakmai megvitatásának ösztönzése.

A pályázat jellege és feltételei
A díj évenként meghirdetett pályázati felhívás keretében, pályázati eljárás útján nyerhető el.
Pályázni kizárólag már megjelent, lektorált, legfeljebb öt éve publikált tudományos publikációval lehet magyar, angol vagy német nyelven, az alábbi kategóriákban:

  • tanulmány vagy könyvfejezet (legalább 15 000 karakter és legfeljebb 40 000 karakter terjedelemben);
  • monográfia.

Egy pályázó kizárólag egy, általa egyedüli vagy első szerzőként jegyzett publikációval nyújthat be pályázatot. Továbbá egyszerre nem lehet beküldeni publikációs pályázatot a HERA Publikációs Díjra és a Romológia Publikációs Díjra, csak az egyik publikációs pályázatra nyújtható be adott publikáció.

A pályázat benyújtása
A pályaműveket Word/ PDF vagy megjelenési formátumban, a szerző(k) nevének, e-mail-címének és telefonszámának feltüntetésével az publikaciospalyazat@gmail.com e-mail-címre kell benyújtani.
A pályázat benyújtásának határideje: 2026. április 15.

Az értékelés szempontjai
A beérkezett pályaműveket a bíráló bizottság az alábbi szempontok alapján értékeli:

  • a publikáció illeszkedése a díj célkitűzéseihez és romológiai tematikai fókuszához;
  • megfelelés a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Tudományetikai Bizottságának, valamint az European Educational Research Association (EERA) tudományetikai elveinek;
  • a kutatási probléma relevanciája és világos megfogalmazása;
  • a szakirodalmi beágyazottság és feldolgozás minősége;
  • az alkalmazott kutatási szemlélet és módszertan;
  • az eredmények tudományos hozzájárulása;
  • a publikáció szerkezeti, stiláris és formai megfelelősége (hivatkozások, ábrák, táblázatok).

Amennyiben egy adott évben nem kerül benyújtásra díjazásra érdemes monográfia, a bíráló bizottság jogosult különdíj(ak) odaítélésére legfeljebb két további tanulmány vagy könyvfejezet esetében. A különdíj értéke megegyezik a díjnyertes tanulmány pályadíjával.

A díj formája
A díj az alábbi elemekből áll:

  1. Oklevél, amely tartalmazza a díjazott nevét, a díjazás indoklását és az odaítélés évét.
  2. Pályadíj:
    • díjnyertes monográfia esetén: az ECER konferencia következő évi főkonferenciájára szóló részvételi díj;
    • díjnyertes tanulmány esetén: a HuCER konferencia következő évi részvételi díja.

A bíráló bizottság összetétele
A pályaművek elbírálását többségi szavazással működő bíráló bizottság végzi, amelynek tagjai:

  • a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Pedagógiai Tudományos Bizottsága Nevelésszociológiai Albizottságának elnöke, helyettese vagy megbízott tagja;
  • a HERA Romológia Szakosztályának vezetője, helyettese vagy megbízott tagja;
  • a Pécsi Tudományegyetem Romológia és Nevelésszociológia Tanszékének vezetője, helyettese vagy megbízott tagja.

A pályaművek számától függően a bizottság külső szakértőket is bevonhat az értékelési folyamatba.


A díj átadása
A díj ünnepélyes keretek között, a HERA által évente megrendezett nemzetközi tudományos konferencia, a HuCER keretében kerül átadásra.

Romology Publication Award

Initiated by Prof. Dr. Andrea Óhidy, in 2026 the Hungarian Educational Research Association (HERA, with participation of the Department of Romani Studies), and with support of the Chair for Romani Studies and Sociology of Education at the Institute for Education of the University of Pécs and the Subcommittee on Sociology of Education of the Committee of Educational Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, established an annual prize to honor publications in the field of educational research on the topic of Romani Studies. The name of the prize is: Romology Publication Award.
The aim of the Romology Publication Award is to strengthen the scientific visibility of educational research on Romology and to promote scientific discussion about publications in this field.

Application

The Romology Publication Award can be won through a competitive application process, as part of an annual call for applications. Applications must include a previously published, edited scientific publication, no more than five years old, in Hungarian, English, or German.

The following categories are available:

  • scientific article or book chapter (minimum 15,000 and maximum 40,000 characters);
  • monograph.

Applications can be submitted with a scientific publication in which the applicant is the sole or first author. Furthermore, it is not possible to submit an application at the same time for the HERA Publication Award and the Romology Publication Award; a publication may only be submitted to one of the publication applications.

Submission deadline: April 15, 2026.


Evaluation criteria
The award committee will evaluate the submitted publications based on the following criteria:

  • alignment with the prize’s objectives of the Romology Publication Award and its thematic focus (Romani Studies);
  • compliance with the guidelines of the Scientific Ethics Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the scientific ethics principles of the European Association for Educational Research (EERA);
  • relevance and clear formulation of the research question;
  • quality of the integration and presentation of the specialist literature;
  • applied research approach and methodology;
  • contribution of the results to scientific research;
  • structural, stylistic, and formal appropriateness of the publication (bibliography, figures, tables).

If no award-worthy monograph is submitted in a given year, the jury may award special prizes for up to two additional scientific articles or book chapters. The special prize is equal to the prize of the award-winning scientific article.

Form of Award
The Romology Publication Award consists of the following elements:

  1. Certificate, containing the following information: name of the prize winner, justification for the award, year of the award.
  2. Prize:
  • in the case of a winning monograph: registration fee for the main European Conference on Educational Research the following year;
  • in the case of a winning scientific article/book chapter: registration fee for the Hungarian Conference on Educational Research (HuCER conference) the following year.

The Award Committee
The grants are awarded by an Award Committee by simple majority vote. Members of the award committee are:

  • the chairman/chaiwoman, her/his deputy or entrusted member of the Subcommittee on Sociology of Education of the Pedagogical Scientific Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences;
  • the head, her/his deputy or entrusted member of the Department of Romology of Hungarian Educational Research Association;
  • the head, her/his deputy or entrusted member of the Department of Romology and Sociology of Education of the University of Pécs.
    Depending on the number of the submitted applications, the Award Committee may also involve external experts in the evaluation process.


Award Ceremony
The award will be presented, within the Hungarian Conference on Educational Research (HuCER conference), the international scientific conference organized annually by the Hungarian Educational Research Association, in a ceremonial setting.
